G-d’s art

By Jeremiah Model

Not sure how many times a day you think about yourself, and how unique you are. But I can attest that G-d did not make a mistake in creating you, and placing you in this time and space.

It is unfortunate that some people in our world believe their life is worthless, valueless, meaningless, and all about themselves, causing self-destruction in their lives and the lives of others, if I could challenge that belief system, for anyone who is reading this, that their life is far too valuable to believe such a lie.

See whether you belief it or not, we have a Father in Heaven who loves us dearly, it’s clear that His love over powers anything that you can think of or imagine. His love is majestic, indispensable, irreplaceable and omnipresent.

His love is so awesome, that He created a masterpiece, something that He could gloat over and expresses His desires towards.

The book of Jeremiah really expounds on how much G-d loves us that He works on us daily to challenge, recreate, mold and perfect. The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.” So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel. And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do. (Jeremiah 18:1-4)

In Jeremiah’s word from the Lord we see G-d comparing the clay to ancient Judah, which was laden with iniquity and vileness. But even with all the guilt on their hands, the Lord in his mercy still had compassion on them. His wanting for the nation to turn away from their ways and turn back to Him is without a doubt one example of how great His love is. That love is an expression of G-d’s character.

G-d is the potter, and we are the clay. He is reshaping everything, causing revolutions in your life, removing things, adding things, upgrading, downgrading, etc. It is solely up to you to partner in this process. The question is will you allow Him to make you a master piece that you are always meant to be, or are you willing to stay mediocre.

For me I choose to be an open vessel. I say to G-d, go to work on me daily. I invite him to clean my house out, and wash me clean daily. I dare you to do the same today, especially since you were made in his image.
